Cordless Home Phones
Most home phones these days are cordless due to the convenience of being able to use your telephone anywhere in the home.
So instead of having to stand next to a telephone you can use a cordless phone on the sofa, in bed or even in the garden as most use a digital signal that will travel a long way.
The cordless phones have a battery which is automatically recharged when the phone is placed on its base and you should leave the phone on the base when ever it is not in use. The battery will last for a long time though with most doing over 10 hours and so you can leave it near you for a reasonable amount of time and then place it back on the base overnight.
